At the highest level this position sells industry leading multi-$100k software and services to Fortune 2000 companies and State/ Federal agencies.

Job Responsibilities


  • As a Hunter, you will build a strong sales pipeline creating leads and using leads from a number of sources including our Pre-Sales Team, Industry Events/Sponsorships, Market Research Team, Partner lists/relationships, Marketing Activities, Industry data tools, etc. as well as personal networking and outreach.
  • Successfully navigate prospect company organizations seeking out the right executives for presentations.
  • Effectively find and drive interest by persuasively presenting the high level software value proposition both on the IT and business sides of the organization.
  • Leverage the rest of our team including multiple VPs including our head of Technology who is a recognized industry leader to help lend credibility and help you close deals.
  • Drive the sales process from lead generation through qualification and close.
  • Build relationships with our Industry leading Vendor Partners. Leverage their assets to help build our mutual business.
  • Build new business and increase revenues to achieve quarterly goals and objectives.
  • Must be aggressively self-motivated, and have the ability to work in a fast paced environment while continuing to be able to think creatively and strategically about your business.

Business Development Manager- Software Sales And Service Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3+ years of experience selling $50k+ software / IT / technical solutions
  • Hunting attitude and experience reaching all echelons of target organizations
  • Success selling into large, Fortune 2000 level, companies and agencies
  • Verifiable track record of 2+ years on target for annual revenue targets
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organization skills
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time

Highly Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Experience Selling Informatica, IBM or Oracle software or solutions
  • Experience Selling Master Data Management, Data Quality, or Data Integration solutions
  • Experience selling to IT executives, Marketing executives or even better, both
  • Experience Selling in a Channel environment
